An Alberta teen was charged after allegedly posting proof he was violating a court order on social media.
Lac La Biche RCMP said Monday they had arrested a 14-year-old boy who lived in the community after seeing an Instagram post featuring a photo police say was of him holding four firearms Thursday.

“Officers identified the male in this post and it was known that he had court ordered conditions not to possess weapons,” RCMP said in the release.
Mounties showed up at a residence with a search warrant and RCMP police dog services and found one real firearm, eight imitation firearms and bear spray.
The teen is charged with weapons possession contrary to order, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon or restricted weapon.
He was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in Lac La Biche youth court Dec. 19.
